Registered Holsteins performed strongly in the May proof run with representatives of some established and emerging cow families from seven different breeders
filling the top 20 new genomic females list. Topping the new genomic females list was Emu Banks Perseus Andrea 11405 (371 BPI), who also went straight into the overall top cows list.
The hunt is on for the Australian Cow of the
Year! With competitions and shows few and far between this year, why not take a look at your herd and see if you have a candidate. If you can think of a cow in your herd that is highly classified, produces a lot of milk, has good family connections, get your entry in by Sunday 31st May.
