Page House Shottle Noni EX92-4E, a 14 year old cow who is no stranger in winning her class at Australia’s biggest shows has been named the 2020 Holstein Australia Cow of the Year.

She is owned by Roger Perrett & family, Hill Valley Holsteins, breeder was Andrew Jones, Victoria.

Holstein cow calves again at 17!
Seventeen and a half-year-old The Points Boss Iron Marg EX93-4E, nicknamed 'Old Meggsie' and owned by Ian & Karen McKie, has calved again after being retired off in a paddock full of bulls. Currently on her 15th lactation, she calved on 7th of August.

Tomargo Recluse Master Breeder sale tops $14,000
The recent on-farm sale at Steve and Erika Chesworth’s Master Breeder Tomargo Recluse herd in Rawsonville, NSW saw 229 animals sold for an average of $4,220, with top price of $14,000 and sale gross of $966,300. Buyers were from NSW and Victoria with bidding both on farm and online at Elite Livestock Auctions.

Australian farmers are being advised to breed healthy ‘green’ cows to meet community expectations and take a long-term outlook in their breeding program according to Genetics Australia's Anthony Shelly.
