New Chief Executive Officer

Rohan Butler, formerly Holstein Australia’s Genetic Improvement and Research Manager has formally taken up his new role of Chief Executive Officer. Mr Butler succeeds outgoing CEO, Graeme Gillan, who will continue to work with the Association in an advisory capacity for the remainder of 2020.

Showcase Sale returns

The Holstein Australia Online Showcase Sale is back for a second year and vendor entries are now open. Last year's sale attracted a diverse range of high quality animals, with sale top of $8,000 for Winaview Superhero Alicia 1372. The sale will be broadcast live from Dairy House on 8th October 2020.

Member & client service update - COVID-19
Member services continue as usual, including classification, in line with government restrictions recently introduced in Victoria. Classification visits also commence in Queensland this week.

South East Queensland All Breeds Spring Show announced
With shows pretty thin on the ground in the current climate some positive news out of Queensland where Holstein Australia member, Rodney Teese, is getting a one-off interbreed show off the ground next month.

Australia's best quality milk producers revealed

10 million litre goal for the Raphael's
Holstein Australia members, the Raphael family from NSW's Hunter region, are aiming to produce 10 million litres of milk a year from grass fed animals.

2020 Victorian shows rescheduled to next year
The 144th Shepparton Show and the new Victorian Spring Show, an initiative of Holstein Australia member Declan Patten, have been cancelled as a result of stage 3 restrictions in Victoria and rescheduled for 2021.
